My Flatpack Life

Please note that MY FLATPACK LIFE is a site-specific promenade production. This means that you will be walking around the IKEA store from scene to scene for the duration of the play. The tour will start at the entrance of the store and end at the exit. Most of the time you will be standing while watching the scenes. So please don’t bring any heavy bags or big objects. The show is accessible to wheelchair users. Please be sure to arrive at the store at least 20 minutes before the show. 

To enable you to organise car sharing groups to get to Walldorf, join the respective group on Telegram for the day of the performance you wish to attend. You will receive an email with the links to the groups after purchasing a ticket.

How to get from Heidelberg station to IKEA Walldorf

By public transport:

Option 1:

Take the commuter train S3 from Heidelberg HBF to Wiesloch-Walldorf. Change onto bus 706, which departs from the bridge spanning the railway lines. Get off at IKEA, Walldorf.

Option 2:

Take bus 720 or bus 721 from Heidelberg HBF. Both busses depart from the stop at the east entrance of the station next to the car park and taxi stand, not from the tram stops. Change onto bus 706 at Drehscheibe, Walldorf. Get off at IKEA, Walldorf.

By car:

Option 1: Via the motorway (ca. 18 minutes)

Start: Heidelberg Hbf, Willy-Brandt-Platz 5, 69115 Heidelberg

1. Turn into Lessingstrasse and turn right onto the bridge crossing the railway lines.

2. Drive down Speyerer Straße in the direction of Schwetzingen all the way to the B-road B535

3. Join the motorway A5 in the direction of Karlsruhe

4. Come off the motorway at exit 39 Walldorf/Wiesloch

5. Drive down the B-road B291 to Josef-Reiert-Straße

Option 2: Via B-roads (ca. 21 minutes)

Start: Heidelberg Hbf, Willy-Brandt-Platz 5, 69115 Heidelberg

1. Turn right into Lessingstrasse

2. At the traffic lights, turn right and drive down Römerstrasse until it turns into the B-road B3

3. Carry on down the B3 in the direction of Nußloch

4. Come off the B3 at Nußloch and turn left towards Sandhausen

5. Turn left onto the L598, which later turns into the B-road B291

6. Cross the roundabout and carry on straight ahead on the B291

7. Turn right into Carl-Zeiss-Straße and carry on until you reach Josef-Reiert-Straße
