California Suite     Neil Simon

Hotels. They’re public places where people go to be private. Have you ever spent the night in a hotel room and wondered who’s staying next door? Or what kinds of encounters and scenes the room you’re staying in has seen over the years?

CALIFORNIA SUITE by the American playwright Neil Simon tells the story of five couples and two hotel staff who spend the night under the same roof. They don’t know each other. They don’t even bump into each other. But you can walk freely between the rooms and find out what these random guests may have in common. Come and be a fly on the wall and witness thirteen people go through a turning point in their relationships and their lives.

This first production of the newly founded English Drama Group at the PH Heidelberg transports you to the actual place where the story is set and thus creates a highly intimate and immersive site-specific theatre experience for every individual audience member.
